i did 62 in a 50 zone n lost my license for it (p's)
i consider it lucky tho the amount of times i have been racing or excessive speeding, i always say " i always make sure its safe" but really wat is safe?
anyone else ever been the the illegal street races in sydney i been to a few, now they are crazy 454's in comaro's n #### i reckon of the 80 cars that went atleast 30 wernt street rego'd or engineerable i seen a motor hang out of the bonnet a good 600mm..
now these are not safe.. defineatly
i encourage legal drag racing but most of the ppl i no only race on streets coz they dont no how to get to the raceways n the stuf they have to go thru to race them...
in 2.25 months when i get my license bak i wil have my $10k and will be looking again for a ca18det 1200 ute.. and then i will say i have raced at a propper drag..

sum1 advertised 2 subrubs away a ca18det datsun 1200 ute for $10k un engineered 11 months rego trx diff from bluebird i think it was r31or 30 front discs rebuilt fornt end (forgot wat from) 200sx front mount
sounded interesting i think i will drive/buy a ca18det datto ute b4 i go and do the v6 conversion coz if the hype about the ca18 turbo's is ok i will keep it and not worry about the v6...
but still the VG30 would be gr8 and a rarety lol im not worried about handling since when does anyone race round corners on street roads? i will go the runs but never race corners on the street, tricked out suspension should sit the car ok with traction but i will see in time

ok still thinking and evaluating, wat 1/4 times would i be able to achieve with a ca18det front mount on stock boost?
there has been a few ca18 1200's for sale round here at about $10k maybe this is an alternative??
my aim is for 13's i have $25k to spend on it would the ca18det already put in for $10k be more worht my while in achieving these sorts of times...

im 17 from sydney
did 62 in a 50 zone on last day of double demerits down a hill.
the cop wasnt even behind me he was 2 cars back and was speeding wit me and the car behind me, i turned off and he let the other car go and fined me( i think just coz im on my p's) how about that the cop didnt even have line of sight and i got booked for doin 12 over i lose my license...
pretty f*cked if u ask me, im the only one in peak hour not speeding too and i get harrassed everyday for it. tough life
ohh well if all goes well with this ute iwant i can always outrun the cops ;) hahahahaha
Question: with the ca18det do i need to widen the gearbox tunned, any major problems with the g/box and tunnel?
