hey wards, that extra piece looks to be a smaller od then the diff and has silastic on both ends.
i might pull it apart and see WTF they've done. just thought id check if its a standar thing.

yeah been shortened, yeah i know its not what you'd call good workmenship, considering gettin a bare diff cut it down myself and using LSD and axles from this diff but thats where im stuck cause to me it looks like the axles are to long??

any help aprriciated guys,
the diff came in a donor ute, been told its a VL turbo diff pulled the calipers and discs off the and noticed where the axle bolts to the diff theres a 15mm gap? i thought they were meant to bolt together flush??

also maybe somone could shed some light on this,

isn't the axle plate and diff plate meant to meet flush??? (VL turbo diff)

appreciate the feedback guys, glad it gets the thumbs up.lol
plenty of pics to come fellaz, orderd the 4 link setup today aslo picked up the wheels tonight.
story behind these wheels is they were made for my donor ute, wasnt interested in them at the time because the rear quarters were cut big time so i thought they wouldnt fit hence the trial fit. the donor ute had the leaf springs moved in a 100mm and was tubbed to the rail. in saying that they still fit inside standard rear gaurds at that ride hieght but i'm not running leaf springs so i dunno if they would interfer with the 235 tyre. still gonna tub it to the rails and change the wheel well for future mods.
As for a colour at the moment i'm split between a nice bright white or silver but who knows!
