Hi guys,

Recently got jacked on ebay buying some parts for the ute, apparently the guys from canberra. Basically never received items was told they got lost in transit, supplied my details for a refund which never happened.
The parts being sold im 99% sure were off the old "evilbetty" he was selling the ute at the same time, if anybody knows of stu1200fx please pm me. it was only $100 or so but its not the point.

Thanks
Rob.

hey guys,
started putting together my exhaust system over the week end and just wanted to run it by guys that have done this before and their experiences regard noise levels, perfoemance, and compliance with epa regs. any advice is greatly appreciated.

Basically what i was thinking of doing was 3" mandrel turbo back, hi flow cat (100cps. 1s 400cps the legal limit?), resinator between cab and diff, then muffler after diff. would this be ok?
Went past an exhaust place earlier n he advised me that running cat,res and 2! mufflers would still be to loud? option that was given was to run a 2.5" muffler right at the rear which would quietening it down( im guessing this would restrict the F#@k out of the system.)Things being so F#@&ing tight under there the only thing ive come up with is cat just sneaks in after gbox cross member then resinator under passengers ass ( after modifying floor pan) mufflers before and after diff??? this will be with all clearnace lucky to be within 5-10mm from chassi/floor pan.

Regards
Rob

Hey guys, starting to get to the motor stage of my build (no experience with piston motor as yet. Basically wanted to start working out what has to be retained and what can be removed in regards to factory intake etc. It's going to be running a microtech LT10X and bosh coils (still have found room for these yet!) been told i dont need to run an airflow meter?. Ive done a bit of research n found some info in regards to what thing are and what goes where and was wondering if anyone could shed some light on these:

1. Air-con idle up valve etc. can this be removed and plated up if im not gonna have air-con?
2. Cold idle solenoid air meter thing on the front of the intake. stay or remove?
3. one way PVC valve. stay or remove
4. going to be running a maddat heater box, where to pick up water feeds?
5. turbo water return line. wheres best to run it. (i dont have the stock steel hose)

any help is greatly apreciated.

cheers
rob

bit of an update, scrapped the exhaust that i'd already started notched the gearbox cross member and gained about 35mm extra ground clearance then i originally had. Made up a removeable tailshaft loop and tac'd it in, also got the infill panels done around the cooler. hopefully not long now till i can strip it down complete all the welding n start the preping for paint.
