very good find dattogal!

The 180b s are my favorite datsuns, esp the coupes sss.So my opnion would be biased.

Its definately in mint condition and being original(not resprayed etc)and low kms,in my opinion its definately a collectors item. The elderly have to be the best in looking after the condition of their cars.Hopefully its still for sale in two months.

Ivan if you come across any more mint first owner 180b cars,if you wouldn't mind, please pm me thanks.

some inspiration, sorry if hijacking thread,

Hey mate,

As for the price,id say minimum $aud 1500 for a second hand one(not reconditioned). One that has had a full recondition n say upgraded nismo gear set will set you back in excess of up to aud$3500. So anywhere between 1500-3500 depending on a couple of factors. But alot has to do with the market your advertising to.Oldschool GX5 restorers,Speedway and race a12 cars owners would be willing to pay that much.

According to this site wiki, apparently a14 and a15 have too much torque for 56a.So best suited to a12 although some have mated them to a14s and haven't had any issues.

And if you can't fetch what your after, better to just keep and store it.This gearboxes are getting more rarer.

Good luck with sale!

Ps, do some research about the mk63 calipers and nismo mk63 calipers and solid or vented discs options.

Here is another link,
Starting bid off 60,000yen.Buy it now 70,000 yen which is roughly $aud 870 in japan.Landed in oz, vic, melb.assuming its sea freight, will come to around $aud 1280. These calipers come with brake pads.
Use a website language translator.

Easier to get an individual/company that buys stuff for you off japan yahoo auctions So all you do is browse the auction site and look for items.
And one can use a couple of language translator websites to help one translate from japanese to english. i.e google web translator for instance.

If patient, most times, good and affordable parts come up for sale on yahoo japan. As for the mk63 parts,i.e the seal kits, were very rare and expensive a few years ago on yahoo japan auctions. Not too rare nowadays but still hard to come by sometimes.

i.e
heres a link for 1 new nissan mk63 caliper piston.Buy it now 2840 yen(in japan) which equates to roughly aud$36 and landed in oz approx aud$100 -120 dollars depending on state and whether shipping or air freight. Thats the price for one new piston. The seller has given the customer the opportunity to let him know how many pistons they want to order.Would be cheaper to order a few and save on shipping.

http://page2.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/b123394378

However the pistons are hard to come by.for instance, if above seller runs out, one will have to wait for a pretty long while b4 getting others for sale.Demand and supply..

and heres a link for a new seal kit to overhaul the mk63 calipers.Landed in oz and depending on whether air freight or shipping, will roughly cost 130-150bks aud.

http://page11.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/n103358054

The calipers on the hand could be affordable if not too many bidders. In the past some race compound brake pads have come for sale at almost steal prices on yahoo japan auctions.

cheers

They often pop up in yahoo japan auctions.

Around the price range of aud$1500+ landed in oz for the front calipers. They were used by period specific race cars back in the days and offered by FIA for competition use.Do some research on them before going that route. One of their biggest advantage is that they are four pot yet fit under 13inch rims and are period specific.

Their rebuild kits now very often pop up on yahoo japan auctions and at very affordable prices.

You could also search for businesses that buy items for customers off yahoo japan auctions.Pm me if interested in ordering some from japan.

Cheers
