As for the datsun parts, i only wish there was a section on the forum giving rough price estimates to average condition datsun 1200 parts so one could have an idea of whether price is too expensive or too cheap.
so here goes....

Datsun 1200 coupe front 'assemblies'
Condition:Surface rust and bushings might be gone or not.Best to inspect before buying and refer to pics. Not sure on condition of inserts etc.Suits early 1200 utes/sedans for disc conversion.I've also read on this website u could mount on s13 disks and brakes with a bit of modification and this struts won't increase track.Would look good after a clean up,sand blasting and paint.
Price:Aud $200 for the 'assembly' without hubs/brakes and springs. Aud$250 each for the other two.

hey guys,
will be adding parts to this post from time to time

R33 Gtst front and rear brake calipers and disks.Fronts are 4pot and rears 2pot.These calipers are also bigger and lighter than s14/s15 brake calipers.Same brake calipers used by the famed skyline R32 GTR.R33 Gtst Rear hubs, handbrake cables, master and slave cylinder.Brake pads have plenty left.Only needs s14/s15 front hubs and r33 ball joints for a 5stud conversion to an s13/180sx.Overkill upgrade to a datsun.Prefer to sell as whole.
Condition:excellent.refer to pics.
Price:Aud$900

hey old_school

Not sure if this is what you are looking for, but might be worth a try to check this ad and try to contact the seller 'frdkid'.The ebay listing ended 6 days ago without any bids on the car.So hopefully car is still up for sale.

Very good find D!

and thats $98,618.60 AUD just to purchase it in japan!.

Having the s20 engine is a very good sign but i would be flying over to japan for a closer inspection and learning its history (i.e contacting the previous owner)before i hand out that sum of cash. From my experience most japanese sellers are very honest.A picture of the original chassis plaque on that ad would have helped heaps i think.

Some quality products like the toyota red coolant actually work out to save you more in the long run. Instead of having to later replace corroded radiators, water pumps, thermostats, heater pipes etc...
Better safe than sorry

reuby,
from your experiences i would say the castrol you mentioned is a quality product even though not expensive.whats the lifespan of that particular coolant?thanks just to get a comparison to other coolants lifespans.
