Not so off topic as you'd think.

Just a bit of shameless promotion for Scouts. Oh this is in Australia, SE Qld.

This weekend is Bannana BASH at landcrusier Park near Gympie, Qld. And the
27th (Sunday) will be visitors day, cost $5. Come along and have a laugh at these
tortured stock cars, trying to offroad.

Oh just wait you don't have a clue what BASH is!
have a read here

go here for more detail

In a nutshell:
Its shoestring budget offroad racing for Rover Scouts (18-26 yr old).
In short its ####loads of fun. all vechiles only allowed 2wd to make it
more fun. Lots of VW's, few pipeframes, I've seen one crews KE30 corolla
(too bad it was out the back of their den rotting), Don't know about datsuns, Think there'd be a couple at least. People like going bigger for some reason.

Events include Hillclimbs, Wormdig(lots of MUD), longcourse (car's
generally blow something on this), Night course, obstacle course
etc. drinki.. ehh, that later for the Rovers.

BASH is incurring insurance issues like everyone else, so come along and
suport it on vistitors day to secure it for the future.

hope to seeya ~ there

May I suggest someone offer to host these videos on their website?? Someone be able to surely. I'd really like to see these photos. Hey if they're under 5mb (total) I might be able ot host them for a while, but I'm guessing they're alot bigger.

Talking about corolla stuff. Well the KE30 does have bigger drums than dat 1200. But make sure its a borg Warner diff. You can tell this by the axle housing. If the diff drops out forward with the yopke its a jap diff, avoid. If the axle is a Borg Warner the diff will it'll drop out the back though an inspection plate. Additioanlly the KE55 corolla hasd a bit bigger drums again too. I'll post a photo of a borg diff when I find one.
