I had a look at the grille last night for the first time in a while.. It has surface rust from being sandblasted around 6 months ago, won't take too much to clean up. No structual rust though..

Can anyone tell me what rack and pinion setup they have used successfully with a Datsun 1200.
I want to know how wide I can go with the steering rack?
I'm looking at using a Strange Engineering Stiletto rack which is 24" wide. I already have a chrommoly steering column with all associated joints and plugs.

Thanks for the input, I got hold of Scott and put a set on order.
I also test fitted the struts on the weekend and the wheel will only need to come in slightlyat the topas it sits flush with the guards.
