no it did that before i put new dampers in but i put them in a few days ago now and it has only turned up since i have done the leaf flip and also only seems to do it when i unload or load up the diff, could it be that with having to pull the diff back a little bit i have loaded up the tail shaft uni's?????

Ok so i have had blocks in the back of my ute for ages now and have decided to try and do the bottom leaf flip ontop of the stack to be able to run no blocks.
Today i have gone and pulled it all apart and done it and have actually dropped about 5mm more in ride height but now i have a knock in the back when i change gears, so while im driving with constant speed and acceleration it is all fine but as soon as i get off the gas it goes clunk and then as soon as i get back on it does it too. Any thoughts as to what it could be and also it is alot more noticable while im in 4th and over 60k.
On a side note if anyone has done this in a ute before did you notice that you had to pull the diff housing back about 3mm to 5mm to get it to go back onto the locating stud in the leafs
Thanks Steve

going to bump this instead of starting a new thread and also beacuse a question asked in here that wasnt answered is what im actually wanting to ask as well
Are the springs from Mad Dat any good and does anyone on here have them in their utes as im looking at getting the back end of my ute lowered a about 30mm more but i have blocks in it atm and want to try and do it all with springs
Other thought is does anyone know of a good place around South East Melbourne (Cheltenham) area that could set my ones up lower even

I dont know how much difference there is in the back end of the ute and the sedan but i have got 13x8 +3 on the rear with 185x65, there is about 15mm clearance to the springs from the rim and the rim sits just flush with the outside of the body.
Having the tyre with a little bit of stretch allows the tyre to actually sit inside the body work on the rear with no need to flare or anything. I have also dropped the back end 2 inches and still have had no need to flare it with no sign of scrubbing anywhere either
Just food for thought that maybe you should look at tyres that are a little bit thinner and not have such over hang on the rim
