I totally understand dattodude.....

This being the case, and understanding that there are a lot of people that benefit from this site, why cant we help by organising an event or day trip somewhere in each state to raise money to keep this site going ????

I recon that wouldn't be that hard, but then again i am not the owner nore do i have an understanding of the financial commitments of this site ??

I along with other appreciate the benefits of not having advertising hammered at us with banners etc etc, but maybe that is something that the owners have to think about if we the USER'S dont want to stick our hands up for something that we all love.

I love this site along with others, i think that it would be a HUGEEEEE shame to see it fall into financial hardship.

again, not a bash up..... just a thought and if i can help any any way i shall........

i recon that it would be a great idea if we started a recommended products and services directory and have a nominated person for each state.......

Could work really good and may even get this sites members some trick discounts !!!!

"Just a Thought"....... but what do you recon ????

Get someone who can wipp you up a manifold, buy yourself a GT28 rollaball bearing Turbo....... leave everything else standard maybe need a change the fuel pump ?

hehehe. pull the head gasket off, go and buy a piece of 1.6mm copper sheet, cut your self a new gasket, wack it all together and have fun.

To be honest Champ, when you work out the formula for Cheap and Easy Horsepower, let us know becuase i dont dont think any of us have found the forumla as yet, good luck looking

I suppose what it comes down to is simply what CAMS are going to allow you to run, the fact that they have gone to FIA specs to further increase safety in all forms of motorsport in Australia, i recon is being welcomed with open arms.

I can understand the cost factor and i appreciate your position Converted but one thing that you have to think of as well, is that you dont want to go out and spend any amount of money and then find out that it is not suitable or allowed and you have to go and spend more......

I cant recommend enough, Peter at Bond RollBars in Western Sydney. Even if you give them a ring or pop in for a chat, i am sure that Peter will tell you what you can and what you cant do.

I also am in the process of building a new car for improved production. 1200 Coupe with CA18DET..... they fact that the car is going to be in this class and looking at the speed of not just me but others, the cage that i am getting built which is extensive i know, is going to cost me about $2100 and i thought that was cheap

I have seen a few times cars that present them selves to race at meetings get turned away time after time becuase they dont comply.

No dis-respect, but i think that you will find it very hard indead to to build an IPRA Car of any kind for $3000 !!!! But in saying that i would love to see you out there Champ doing what we all love, racing and revving the hell out these great little 1200's.......

Cheers
