the std conrods will handle must performance engines, i've ran them in many full on race engines, but also you can get your std conrods, crack tested, polished & shot peened and rod bolted & balanced for that reassurance you may like.

what are your engine specs/components your building.

maybe i can help with combo if your interested.cheers

Im looking to get 100-120 hp if its possible im not sure if it will be or not with out a turbo setup.

But Atm i have 45mm webers with 4 into 1 extractors so with new head, CAM and CAM Gears and what not should give it a fair boost, unsure how much tho. So im not sure if i could get an extra 40 hp from the standard 80hp (60kw)id be more then happy with a 20hp increase.

I have mates wanting me to do a CA18DE conversion as you can pick up a half cut for around $1500.00 but im against it as it means alot of extra work and changing x-members and many other things what i really want is to keep the car as much to its originality as posible and the A15 series engines does exactly that give me the little extra power i want for a cruiser and the originality of the car itself

Just a quick Question for you boys

Im looking to change the CAMSHAFT in my A15 to either.

RACING CAMSHAFT 312-7.5, DATSUN 1200 A15
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/RACING-CAM ... ories&hash=item3cc39e1a2b

Or to the smaller

Tomei Procam Nissan A12/A14/A15 304-7.25mm
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Tomei-Proc ... ories&hash=item4d0085956e

Now My main question is with my internals currently i have not changed the Conrods or pistons is it possible to run either of these CAM's with out changing the conrods?

Or if needing to change the conrods what is the best option to change them to??

----------------------------------------

Currently i am changing out the Head for a new oval port A15 Head

An Adjustable CAM Gear
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Racing-Tim ... ories&hash=item56471abe27

with a new Timing chain
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/RACING-Hea ... ories&hash=item56458bfb7a

And a new Fly wheel

The only thing im not changing is the ConRods and piston setup but wanting a new CAM to get things going a bit more any help would be nice.

Also is anyone running one of these Tomei Camshafts?

I have it all running from the starter motor the negative is earthed in the Tray and the circuit breaker mounted under the tray and isolation switch comes up through the handbrake hole and has the switch on the seat rail

Seeing that your in wagga there are a fair few going here in Canberra ATM.

Depending on what you want..

DATSUN 120y

DATSUN 1200 Coupe
http://www.allclassifieds.com.au/ac/display-ad?cid=123290066

If You want a Coupe id Run this
1971 DATSUN 1200 Coupe (This one is my best bet at a buy - No Rego, needs paint, straight, A14 engine, mags)
Price: $1,500
www.allclassifieds.com.au/ac/display-ad?cid=123289874

If A wagon takes your fancy with a A15 id buy this bad boy
1978 DATSUN Sunny Wagon - Datsun Sunny Station Wagon, 5speed A15,needs paint, no rego
Price: $1,500
http://www.allclassifieds.com.au/ac/display-ad?cid=123289877
