not knowing what engine or ignition you have its a bit hard to give a good answer.

But by the assumption that your using a coil still you need to find an electronic coil ignition tachometer which can be found in many different stores i.e auto meter

In regards to size its best to remove your old one and measure the back mounting and also the front face and thus go store hunting online to find something that meets your requirements there are so many different designs to choose from.

I personally changed mine to the GX tacho as it registers to 8000RPM and has redline limits in the tacho it looks alot nicer :)

Trimming lower front quarter panel's (HELP)

Hey guys just needing a quick hand with an issue i have and many of us have faced.

I have had my Weld racing wheels on my ute for some time and the turning radius scrubs very hard on the lower front of the quarter panels.

I am needing to trim away the area in which scrubs.

My question is what is the best way to do this with the cleanest cut as the car is painted i want to inflict as minimal damage as possible but if worst case i can get the guards repainted im just not wanting to warp them during the process.

My idea is to use 3M masking tape for the area applied appropriately, template out a radius for the cut then use a die grinder to cut the panel and cut and stop slowly as to not put to much heat into the panel. It scares the #OOPS# out of me to do it but it needs to be done, so i can finally engineer and get the car through rego.

Or the other option is take it too a panel beater have them trim the guard and put it onto an english wheel and roll the lips properly and flare them ever so slightly

I just really need another opinion from people that have done it or an actual panel beater from here

Cheers

Exhaust manifold - not wanting a J-pipe ugly setup wanting an actual steam pipe low mount or high mount would be good with T3/t4 flange would be optimal

would have advised oval port manifold for H89 for intake :)

You can do a simple air shock setup in the rear and will provide a smoother ride and also provide you with the option to change ride height

Ok guys i have brought this up a few times on here and still have not seen it made into a Sticky or thrown into the wiki

But here it is guys for all datsun's found on the datsun510 website

http://datsun510.com/manuals/index.html

Choose the manual you want it will open as a PDF and save the file to your computer for future reference.

Utilize the workshop manuals for your A12 through to your A15 (b310 - 210 or f10) or even your L series engines

Here is the link to the 1200 workshop ones quick..

http://datsun510.com/manuals/Workshop ... on_Wagon_Sedan_Pickup.pdf

http://datsun510.com/manuals/Workshop ... l_Datsun_1200_1969-73.pdf

the website has everything you will need but if you can be nice and donate to the website god knows how long it took someone to scan all of those workshop/service manuals
