where did u buy the 1/2 cut? do they have many in stock? how many kays? did u get a manual?

No expert but,
Su's work on constant velocity. when u plant your foot down, u open the butterflies, but u do not raise the pistons inside the carbs. These pistons wait until there is more air entering the engine before they go up. In my opinion, it would be extremely hard to have su's which where to big.

with normal carbs, when u plant your foot, u increase the air passage way, and for a while, the air velocity enetering the engine slows down, this does not happen with su's.

I'm no expert ...so if others read this reply and disagree, please feel free to set me straight.

I reckon it can make it more predictable. Heres my explanation.

lets for every elapsed second, the car rotates 10 degrees. assume driver reaction time is 1 sec.

with a low PMOI, the car will "snap" the tail around quickly.. say 1 sec to rotate the 10 degrees.

A car with a High PMOI may take.. 2 sec to rotate the same 10 degrees.
In case with low PMOI, as the car begins to rotate, the driver reacts. by the time he has reacted, 1 sec has elapsed, so the car has rotated 10 degrees.
In case with high PMOI, the driver reacts to the cars rotation. 1 second elapses. the car has only rotated through 5 degrees.
The advantage of Low PMOI is that, if both cars as described above, are out by the same amount, ie 10 degrees, it will be easier to straighten the low PMOI car.

My point on PMOI was that there is an upside to increasing it. The upside is that, BECAUSE it takes it longer to change direction, it is easier to catch a rear end slide. although, beyond a certain point it becomes harder to correct it.

ye, what about the polar moment of inertia???

All things have pros and cons. The advantage of a higher polar moment .... is that, when one begins to loose the rear end, the slide will take longer to develop thus increase the reaction time available. off course, it will take longer to correct the slide. and unless one has very twisty circuits, the extra PMoI may harm the car handling less than say the added weight.

Does it weight more????

As for weight distribution, isn't the 1200 close to being 50/50 standard?? The extra rear weight may upset the balance.

Also note that many race teams, for many years prefered a solod axle. Take for instance the turbo bluebird, it had a IRS and the team could not come to terms with it. In many instances it is easier
to develop a component well, if it has fewer variables.

maybe even try queens or even the Left bank, it depends on yur age.

I don't know some of the joints mentioned but Cott/OBH = 18 - 26 year olds
Left bank/Queens = 24 - 42 year olds.
