Just installed a new Hood last week, polished all chrome pieces including bumpers, installed front lip and gave her a good shine.

New wheels coming on tomorrow.

As the car sits I run 93oct and the car runs super smooth but was just wondering what was involved other than jetting the carb.

So nobody runs on E85 here?

I was pumping some gas today and noticed the E85 pump and was asking myself if E85 would work on a Datsun 1200 A14 engine with twin hitachi carbs and what would be necessary to accomplish this or is it even worth it?

My understanding E85 runs cooler less detonation and more power.

Any inputs would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys.

Mat and my self were emailing each other back and forward getting some history on the car and making sure that everything is still there like it was 5 years ago so I feal very lucky to have found a great example of a car like this one.

From now on the car is just gonna get better and better, I already have lots of plans for it, New wheels just came in today 15x8 so tomorrow ill be getting some new Falken tires Ill be rolling and pulling my fenders.

my bullet mirrors, sunny grill badge and sunny badges should be here this week so I cant wait, soon new upholstered interiors and a clean paint job.

Just got me a great 71 Datsun 1200 and Im in love.
Shes in great condition with no rust at all.

I plan to upholster the interiors and later on a paint job cause paint still looks good but could be better.

Now, I know that this car came from Cali 4 years ago and the previous owner (matbighat) had this car in great condition and performed some very nice upgrades including an engine so I really would like to know if theres a build thread about the vehicle or if I can get in contact with him to know everything that was done to the vehicle.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Just installed a new Hood last week, polished all chrome pieces including bumpers, installed front lip and gave her a good shine.

New wheels coming on tomorrow.
