Hi everyone! Currently in the process of changing out my low back seats in my 1200 sedan. I’d like to put high back bucket seats in (not full on race spec but something that has a fair amount of support in the sides.) If I do find seats suitable, I want to try and make the modification reversible so as I don’t butcher the originality of the car too much. Does anyone have any information or can lend me some ideas on this? Thanks guys

Yeah only problem im seeing is that the AE86 is now a collectors item so Im guessing diffs will be one hell of a price. But ill keep an eye out, as well as the mk1 cortina route.

Oh yes gotcha. Yeah bit unsure of differential options at the moment. Very heavily modified a15 (call it an a16 when finished) full built motor, dellortos etc. Have the standard 1200 sedan diff in at the moment but would like an LSD (Not going to build an engine like that and not have some fun with the clutch pedal!!) Any recommendations? Dont want to be overkill but I also dont want to hear crunching noises when I give the clutch a kick

What is the 4.88 diff ratio like? Am toying with the idea of a hilux LSD for a very heavily modified a15 behind a 60 series 5 speed

Replaced whole distributor to no avail. Yep have replaced all plugs. Seems like a flatspot to me, runs extremely rich (black smoke for miles) and dies underload. No backfiring at all. Have also noticed leaks around the top carburetor gasket and throttle plunger so im guessing that is the problem

Hi all. when I got home after it was playing up, #4 was very oily, to the point that it wasnt firing at all. Just seems to be that cylinder. Compression tests came back fine. Have changed fuel pump and filter and that made no difference
