BNB Engines in Westall road has a guy in there that has built A series race engines.
They did a nice job on a re-sleave and full re-machine/balance on mine

If its urgent your best bet (if it for a 1200) is probably new from Bprojects or its down to fabricating your own. Lots of photos and how to's here.

Datto_boy . Axles welded ? Have you or someone else tried and tested this?. I'm interested if so and would they hold up to say 140hp @ the wheels

I saw the issue with the axles so I'll keep a lookout for a bluebird diff for axles and the 3.9 center will be a better option as well.
Yes ,without shifting the spring location the standard drum brake line clearance is an issue - mmmmm - i'll think about that.
I'm going to try the 'cut and join' myself having already made up a diff mounting brace from another project so that just leaves the respline to
$$$ outsource.

Just started looking at shortening a ute diff by 30mm each side to accommodate
13 x 7" -3 offset wheels without flares - (to go under a coupe).
Have got a few ideas but wanted to see if anyone had done it before and if so, would they do it any differently doing it again?

Chase us down at the feb BBQ

Took out the heavy helper spring, reversed the top one and redid the retainer hoops so its alot softer (less prone to skipping - more like a sedan ) and yes chopped down the bumps. Don't plan on carrying any loads :)
My bigger wheels are heavier than stock so the stiffer dampening compensates

Have found a direct replacement shorter rear shocks for very lowered utes
They are from the front of a 85-89 Saab but that's irrelevant.
I forgot to measure exactly how much shorter they are but about 40mm
Fitted perfectly - work perfectly
Have included kyb part no. 343008 . They were $65 ea but got them on special for $59 delivered off Ebay
