Keep in mind that unless your under 5'6" most aftermarket seats are going to realy limit leg room in a ute. I'm only 5'7" and got the old ones reupholstered with a little extra side bolstering because they are thin and fit to the contour of the cabin back. Interested if you find something suitably thin - upholstered fibreglass race bucket ???
Hey crumb, Yeah its for the clubby , the one in it now has no teeth :0. oops The HB (4cyl ) Torana diff was not up to the task. I need it to be wider actually and run 25mm spacers. I'm going to use the Top Gear LSD that I just bought -should be perfect for that.
nickmitty wrote: Well Koenigseggs Hennessey and Bugatti also come to mind when thinking of filthy rich. I test drove the new AMG A45 Merc recently and it is a animal compared to my last Amg or Porche. It's a 2 litre AWD 265 kw / 350 hp with 450 nm torque 12.7 1/4 mile stock. Does about 4.5 0-100 and with a $1500 chip it jumps to 335 kw with 610 nm and drops down 3.7 0-100, to mid 11's 1/4 mile. And around $100K while the Brabus is about $1.5 M, I would expect more. . . But like you said D, I’d settle for a Zilla too..here’s a good drag race https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JaS7n6qKQe4
But how many zillas could you buy for the price of a Aventador or Mclaren ? still only a poofteenth slower
Demacoz gave me a set of old front guards to try a slightly different method for the fronts seeing they are only single skin. Started the same by cutting the guard just above the first 15mm crease line , then used some 3mm plate cut to the profile of the next 50mm crease. Bent it to match the curve of the guard , then clamped it on the outside. Then went to town with the panel hammer and got it close in just 20min. It worked so well I'm going to get 2 pieces made (mirror image) of the whole guard , tapering it out to 20mm at the top of the guard so to not impede on the guards horizontal crease. When its out to the required width I'll then weld it the fill piece, fibre fill my lack of skill and presto!
Now to get some wider front Minilites to fill'em up
