Guys thanks for all the suggestions, I will do some tests when I get home from work on the fuel line and the ballast resistor. Any other suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I am not sure if it is running a ballist resister. The engine is stock. Is the ballist resister on the coil?? How could I find and test this? Because that is exactly what is happening, if the key is in the start position it is like it wants to go but as soon as I let it go to run position the engine winds down.

I sprayed some quick start in the carb and get nothing. If I keep trying to turn it over and pump the gas she back fires sometimes (like a gun shot). Wouldn't that mean it is getting gas??

Hey guys, it has been a while since I have posted anything but I need your help. My 1975 B210 won't start. It is turning over but will not catch. I checked each spark plug and they are all getting lots of spark. Any thoughts?? When the key is fully turned it is almost like she wants to start but when I let the key go back to normal it just dies back out. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have a 1975 Datsun B210 for sale. I live in Canada on the East Coast and the winter is about to hit us. I have nowhere to store it and would like to see it go to a good home!

Details:
- 28,000 original miles

- Painted a seaspray green a few years ago and has been in storage until this summer.

- Automatic

- Everything is stock and original.

- Inside the vinyl of the front seats are cracked, backseats are fine. The dash also has a small crack from sitting in the sun all those years on the lady's lawn.

- It has not seen a lot of use, I purchased it from an older lady back in 1999. She had it sitting in her yard for years and years. I have only used it this summer (I drive it everyday). It works like a charm. I got it fully inspected at the beginning of the summer. The only thing wrong is that the muffler seems to getting a small hole.

- I got a new thermostat and water pump and flushed the radiator a few months ago.

- Outside is perfect, except for on the ends of the bumpers. They have some foam coating and the paint did not stick to it but they can be removed.

Asking $3000 Canadian. Let me know if anybody is interested.

Here is a picture (I have others, of the interior, engine and all angles of the outise):

Datsun B210 choke adjustment?

I live in Canada and the temperature is starting to drop drastically. I have a 1975 B210 but it took me like 15 minutes to get it started yesterday. My father who lives in another part of Canada told me he had the choke turned all the way down. I now need to turn it back up. I am not a mechanic. Is this something I can do on my own, or do I need to take it to a garage? Thanks for the help in advance.

Okay, here is the update so far. I got my car to the nearest garage and guy told me he found a small leak in the water pump. He said he would replace the pump, thermostat, and do a complete flush to see if it solves the overheating. I am biting my nails at the moment awaiting the phone call because I am afraid I did damage to the head gasket. It should be ready sometime today, but i am anxious for the call!

Hey no, thanks for the info. I am not sure what my radiator cap is rated at. I will check tommorow when I get down and dirty!

I am not too engine savvy, so any technical assistance would be greatly appreciated! I would rather fix it myself so it doesn't cost me a fortune at a garage.. Thanks in advance.
