Awesome project. Keep us all up to date with the progress.
I would love to build a kpb110 replica one day.

Tell us more about the LZ head you have. Why does it have a different style valve cover to all the pictures I have seen of LZ's. Were there two variations?

Have you concidered making front guards and bonnet out of fibre glass?

Hi Clyons8 I will flick you a PM. I have been mucking around with a 8v crossflow design off those old prints that are floating around of the AY12.

My dads friend reshelled a nissan works cherry coupe and added the "original" speed holes to the shell and body again. It took him 2 weekends and he had a icecream container full of scrap at the end which weighed about 3kg. A lot of work for little gain. I would be concerned about adding speed holes to a car that didnt already have a cage and be seam welded.

Much easier for the driver to the gym haha.

I'm after some original material to reupholster my original 1200 coupe seats.
Has anybody ever managed to find any when reupholstering coupe seats?

My passeneger seat is completely original but the drivers has had a couple of places replaced. I'm getting my seats resprung and wanted to see if orginial "patterned" material was obtainable?

Or alternatively has anybody used material from old seats to replace the ripped patches of their good seats?

This is the only link I managed to find when I did a search

Great video. Whats the deal with being allowed to race with no roll cage? Or was it a time trail type thing?

Thanks for the comments guys. It is a very interesting wee project and I have been learning plenty along the way.

I have been doing some homework on the manufacturing and looking at pattern making and rapid prototyping etc. Are there any members on here that are pattern makers or have experience with casting or foundry work?

D what you have sketched is very much what I will be trailing with the flow simulations. The ports at the moment are far from ideal.

D the ports are about 40° at the moment. They still need a lot of work but at the moment I'm trying to get a complete model together. After the model is complete I still want to do some flow simulations and see what improvements came be made.
Here are a couple more screen shots of the inlet ports.

Is there a way to reduce images to below 200k without cropping them down?

Been mucking around with modeling up a AZ12 head lately (since I'm living in an apartment at the moment with no garage)

I have sorted the oil return and most of the water gallery. Need to decide if the oil supply will be machined or included in the casting.
