No your not shoota good advice.

The issue is here in Perth though there is no service and everything cost 3x as much. It's not like I have a list of helpful places I can take my car that can address this.

Haven't checked yet DD. Speaking to a couple of mates who have built engines, they have convinced me that for how easy it is and cost it's worth doing for peace of mind.

Ok booked a panel and paint for the old girl but have to wait about 3 months as its a cashie job its a fair price though so I can't complain.

Decided I will rebuild the A14 and get that all in during this period. Will up some pics once I start pulling apart the engine...
