Sucks that your in Sydney, would really like to buy the extractors & exhaust. I wonder how much freight would be to QLD.

I think the A series would be a better option for me. Its a pain in the arse as a friend of mine has offered me another deal which I think is a good one, its a SR20 N/A which is what I would be looking for if I wanted to do a larger conversion this is what he has offered me. Engine nil issues runs great can be seen running in the car A clutch & preasure plate, tail shaft, computer & loom, headers & exaust all for $400 I would spend the extra $700 and get the maddat engine conversion kit to make life easier. Only trouble is I have no idea what else would be needed. The maddat kit would take care of Gearbox Cross Member, Engine Cross Member, Polyurethane mounts, a small trans tunnel mod, sway bar, link ends and mounting bushes & brackets. I would have to modify tail shaft, wireing, manifolds. I am not sure what else would be missing? Then I would have to worry about getting it regoed with new engine. But its the sort of thing I could just get everything together over a period of time and gather the info I needed then take the car off the road and do the conversion. I think that the 120Y with a SR20 would be my idea car. I just wish mates would stop comming to me with thier special offers on hard to do conversions :)

Warner I did look into a turbo set up, but from what I found it looked like tracking down the relevant parts for a turbo set up would be a bit of a nightmare.

Theirs nothing wrong with the current A12, I just wouldant mind a bit more power. If I keep the A12 I would be looking at the usual mods carbies, exhaust, cam, extractors maybe some porting. But I am thinking maybe I pick up a slightly larger engine and build that and keep the car in running condition until the engine is finished. I have absolutly no idea about the L motors will have to do some research, I guess I can hold onto the money and just wait for somthing to come up.

lol yea that is the plan Andy, im going to get it on the road first. Its just that I have come into some spare cash which doesant happen often around here, so I am planning on picking up a engine now while I have the spare cash and depending on the condition rebuilding that and eventually putting it into the 120Y.

Your engine looks good, your price is at the top of my budget. But im expecting once the freight is taking into account its going to bump the price up to over what I wanted to spend. :(

Ok thanks for that, I wonder how much freight would be to get your engine & box to QLD. Any more info on your A15?
