got a call from a fella this arvo, i seem to be very popular with ppl calling with dato related stuff. he has a 1976 1200 ute that would suit restroration, its sitting in his garage, has sum minor rust, he doesnt sound like he wants much at all, but is open to offers. if your after a project, it may just be useful to call and see how low he will go. he said he just wants it gone. it still has the a12 in it and is running. by the sounds just rust repair, if somebody calls, lets us know a ball park figure that he wants, the utes in canberra. his number is: 0407170073

i forgot to add, when its idling, the charge light comes on???, wats the reason for this, it does idle rather low, could teh reason be, when its idling, the battery isnt getting charged, resulting in it draining the battery on me.

ok, ill run through the story first, go to start the ute yesterday, starts with a lil dificulty, then i drive it for 20mins, it hasnt been idling taht good lately, and i come up to an intersection, and it stops idling, my fault for not giving it a rev, then when i go to start it, nothing, flat battery!!!!!, so i get a push start from somebody. get her going, get to work, and turn the ute of, she wont start, completly dead, i got the nrma out, and they chucked a new battery in, 2 get me home, and that, but now i need 2 either get a new alternator, or mine recondintioned, what is the best thing to do???, and if its betta to get a new alternator wat one, my current one is a hitachi one

we do have to rememebr the previous owner, was a professionl footy player, money wasnt a hassle. he would have just taken the engine, and said go crazy. thus in return spending 13grand,

this guy that sells the ones taht can be moved from car to car, does anybody have pics or anything, im keen 2 see wat there like. there is a guy in canberra at beetle exchange who does them, but apparently they arent that good, i have been keen 4 ages 2 get some done
