ok the problem is offically not fixed, lol. the ute has been booked in 2 the shop. im outta ideas and patience. The ute is running, but idling like crap. but it doesnt sound like blocked filters or anything. It sounds like the carbies. its blowing a lil bit of white smoke 2, not much. It revs up fine, but when you hold ya foot down and keep it at a high idle, its back firing and all over the place. so i think its time 2 call it quits and leave it 2 the pros

ok just finished a good 2 hours on the ute. i blew the fuel line from the pump back to the tank clear, put more fuel in the tank and then redrained it. blew all the lines from the fuel line to the regulator, then the regulator to the fuel filter out. then took the regulator apart and the fuel pump completly apart and cleaned them all out. when i blew the fuel line from the pump to the tank, i put a piece of paper at the end 2 see wat came out, a far bit of rusty brown dust ended up on the paper. i also keep the fuel drained from the tank, and theres all white sorta stuff floating on the bottom. Now my biggest concern is have i fixed the problem. i took the ute for a quick drive and its going fine, but i thought i had fixed it like this on sunday and it played up again, suppose ill just have 2 hope i dont break down again. i have 2 drop of somebody at a school formal on friday so fingers crossed, lol

ok, thanks 4 that i will give it a go asap, so do you think its worth replacing the fuel pump still but. or just try this. i have drained all the fuel from it via the drain plug, but there didnt appear to be much rubbish coming out???. also the line out of the petrol tank, where is that located, and is there some form of filter on that part 2. a mate told me to check it.

ok theproblem has not been resolved as i found out 2 day. sat on side of road for an hour an half broken down. ok i replaced the filter and it went like a charm, now 2 day on way home, cut right out. pull over manage 2 get it just idling, noticed piss all fuel is going into the filter. sit and think 4 a bit. look 4 screw driver. call nrma, and get a tow truck coming, keep turning key, only tiny fuel makes it into filter. decide to take the top of the fuel pump, the four screws and the middle one. take the seal of and have a look. and the fuel lines to the pump. wack it all back 2gether. then turn the key in anger for 5 mins, then suddenly it starts back up, runs like #### 4 a bit, backfiring etc. then clears up, and i manage 2 drive it home. now me and tyrie think that the fuel pump is fine. could it just be my lines are blocking up with crap, fingers crossed. wats the best way to clear the lines and drain the fuel and clean the tank, and are we right by ruling out the pump, cheers guys, thanks 4 the help
