I have not checked the C/R yet but seeing how I bored out the block and installed a higher duration cam it have less then the stock 9:1 and my cam requires 10:1 at least I think.

I do have adjustable needles and they are already set. My main jets are actually really small #115 and I'm still running Rich at wot.

My idle adjust screws are on top of the carb on the manifold side.

Also, dose your wideband constantly move at idle? Mine jumps from 15-16 at idle, is this a sign of a vacuum leak or clogged carbs?

Would it even worth be tuning if my C/R is to low for the cam? Or should I not waste time and just turbo the motor?

I have a 1200 sedan. I've rebuilt the engine and while it revs better I think I messed up my engine build and now I have less power due to a low compression ratio. I have bs34 carbs and they run lean(16) on idle, ok on(13-14)1/2-3-4,and rich(11.8-12) wot.

Would it be ok to just fine tune the carbs and stay N/A?
Or would it be better to turn my long tube equal length header into a turbo manifold and add a little boost?

My engine build is a12
74mm bore dish cast pistons
268/274 (I think I'll check later) cam
H10 head with L16 valves lightly ported
Bs34 with velocity stacks
1.5in equal length long tube headers and Side exit exhaust.

If I go turbo I would maybe do
Gt15?
Turbo mount on spark plug side and blow trough an intercooler and carbs.
Of course I'd have to connect the headers to the turbo somehow and rejet.

Anyone have any opinions on what I should do?

Ok I don't mean to hijack your forum but, did you ever fix the flooding of carb# 4? I have bs34 and my #4 carb floods when the choke ow off but is fine when the choke is on. And yes I do have a gravity setup... Can anyone enlighten me here?

i moded some honda b18 springs to fit my a12. viton and umbrella seals do not clear the inner spring. i found a set of metal positive seals that will and i was trying to put them on and broke 2 because my exhaust valve guides are bigger then my intakes.

i'm thing of running seals only on the intakes. has anyone experience any major problems with running no valve seals? This 1200 will be a daily driver also.

http://sandiego.craigslist.org/nsd/pts/4478031780.html

I have some basset 15x8 and 15x10 wheels for sale info\pictures on tire size and off set can be seen on Craig's list $400 if seen here.

I had them on my flared 1200 sedan and it fit perfect. it would look even better on a coupe or 240z.
