See Datsun 1200 History, Models and Production for information on "Sunny".

Thanks for sharing. It's good to know that just because they bolt up doesn't mean it's the right one.

For our friends in other countries, the "Datsun 310" is the 1978-1982 fwd N10 (Pulsar) and the "Datsun 210" is the rwd 1979-1982 B310 Sunny.

That's a really good video of a 1200 in action, especially the ones marked #2 (are they identical?).

Sounds good too.

Looking closer, I think it is the chrome and not the entire drip rail. Standard cars must look weird ...

Angelo, yes the reason modern cars don't use drip rails is because it's an aerodynamic drag. This suggest it is also a source of noise.

It's not just you. The only one at Blue Lake that stood out to me was the slant-back Bluebird -- mainly because it was so rusty.

I'm not saying there weren't some very nice 510s there ... indeed some were extremely nice.

The coolest non-1200 there was the 520 extended-cab. It looked so factory. Nicely done.

Datsun 1200 "Standard" models didn't have them:

MOULDING SET-roof drip

... is for Deluxe, GL and GX only.

The bigger-braked B210 & B310 had 13/16 rear cylinders. The Datsun 1200 disc-brake model has 11/16 ... so when upping the brakes this sugggests that you should fit larger rear cylinders.

The good news is that drum-brake 1200s already have the 13/16 rears, so there's your source.

I was told this past weekend that P510 rear wheel cylinders are 13/16 and bolt right into the 1200 rear. So there's another source.

Why couldn't you use solid mounts?

Anyways, I heard that 200SX mounts fit if you cut off the extra bolt, and they are a better design.
