The Datsun disgraced itself last Saturday night when leaving a friends home- went to turn on the headlights and had nothing. Park lights and taillights both work. We ended up disconnecting the headlight switch which I thought may be the problem and making a mini loom which got it home- so the headlights are working but something is stopping them working when the dashboard switch is connected.
I replaced the switch with a spare that I had and still the same problem.
While I cannot guarantee the health of both switches it seems rather odd that there is the same problem with them both?
Anyone come across this before or any bright ideas. The lighting system is completely stock and unaltered.

Very true Benny but after saying that they are still out there and being used.
I am as guilty as anyone as far as not posting enough so next race meeting.....
Unfortunately for us all the values have gone crazy and the cheap, fun days are over well and truly and I must admit the scepter of a big smash and having to find a new shell constantly hangs over me every time I take the SSS out to a race meeting but at the end of the day what on earth is the point of owning it unless its being used?
There certainly are still a few being rebuilt over here in NZ and some really nice bits being produced for the A series such as alloy rocker covers.
I guess we all have to make a conscious effort to post some more to keep this very special site alive.
