run the tap through the hole, use 60/60 loctite on a mild steel bolt, tighten let is go off cut flush and re tap at 8mm it will be smaller but it has no real loadbut will allow you some kind of clamping force

Check that the carbon tab in the distributor cap is touching the rotor button.

Part in part the problem wasnt helped by the the coroners and police finding into a fatal accident in narrewarren which found a high powered street rod had only just got its plates within the week and was under engineered for the Hp and size motor...I was told to get my truck done before december last year but it's obvious with this discussion changes haven't taken place

The club plate scheme was designed to stop people getting around the engineering loop hole,eg 6/71 blower hanging out of the bonnet running 28's on the rear, ect rant rant!
We have always been required to provide proof of roadworthy with either a inspection by cams or a roadworthy tester it has always stated if you required a engineers report for full reg it will for club...Big deal no different than full reg...only thing that has changed is the 1st inspection has to be done by vic roads reg tester every other test can be done in house providing your club is cams.
The idea was to get the cars for "power skids" off the road and on trailers! and stop them using the old club plate scheme as a net to stay on the road.My cars and i have 3 on plates they are inspected each year before reg it is a pain but add the reg up at 713 per car i can get over it quick enough
cheers anthony

run a wire straight from the + on the battery to the + on the coil see if it starts, if it does you now know where to start looking...If it does start you will need to remove the wire off the + side of the battery to stop...all this does is bypass the loom for faults if it doesnt then the coil could be at fault.
cheers

Cheers Ange thanks for the positive comments :)
A few days ago I decided to see how the new turbo would fit for clearance.
once i start fabricating new pipe work i dont want issues with the strut tower.
The new turbo is a lot bigger and will help with the topend.
cheers anthony
