Bob's posting inspired me to get off my bum and upload a run from our autocross event June 14th and 15th at the Hampton Mill in Packwood Washington.

This is one of the runs made Saturday afternoon.

We (NWAA, North West Autosports Association) are hosting another autocross practice weekend this coming weekend July 28th and 29th. It's quite normal to be able to get in 20 to 30 runs in each day. Kind of like an autocross track day.

I've always liked this project. The hand painted alloy wheels is a great touch.

Here is a link to a video of the car driving. Sounds great!

Hi Tom,

I'm running dual 20mm bars in the front, single adjustable 20mm in the rear. Front springs are 250# on shortened B310 struts and Ground Control coil over kit. Rear are stock with 2.5" lowering blocks with integrated shock mounts (sedan). 13x8 Bassett wheels with 4" backspace and Toyo R888 225/45-13. With the front end alignment at -2.5° camber and 7.1° caster the tire wear is even in heavy autocross use.

Gary

I acquired a H145 LSD with 4:11 gears from Bob's 1200 a couple of years ago. Don't know the condition of the clutch packs (just installed it, it works...) and the ring and pinion whine (looks like there are fine scratches on the faces of the gears).

Paid $750.00 and felt it was a fair deal.

Don't forget that if you put in the A15 crank, you will need to put in A-15 pistons. Crank pin is higher in the A15 piston to account for the longer stroke.

NWAA (North West Autosports Association) is having another great weekend of autox'ing on August 25th and 26th. Come join us in Packwood, WA. for a racing experience that focuses on driving and having fun!

Limited entries so you can get more seat time than anywhere else. Not uncommon to get 40-50 runs. This event also includes dinner on Saturday Night. Asphalt camping on site is free, there is no power on the Packwood site so be prepared.

Join us for a great weekend of racing, socializing, eating, and bench racing!

If you have not been to the Hampton mill site in Packwood before be prepared for one of the largest sites for autocross in the country (17.5 acres). The building for the pit area is 90,000 square feet.

The courses are usually just under a mile in length and times are typically a minute or so.

Space is limited, only 40 slots left so register early!

Check with Morrisun over at http://community.ratsun.net/. He has a batch made up last year. Try posting in the 1200 area under cars.

A tip if using the 2 hammer approach. Loosen the castle nut but leave about a quarter of the threads engaged. This will protect the threads of the joint from wayward hammer blows. This assumes that you need to put the steering assembly back together using the same parts.

56 or 60 series tranny uses the same tailshaft. 63 series tranny uses the automatic tailshaft (larger output shaft).
