The measurement you want to use for determining the width the rack should be is the distance between the inner rod ends on the drag link, not the lower control arm pivots.

Yep, I would vote for the water heated intake manifold also. Hot air induction is also a mandatory setup for maximum economy. The US spec air cleaners have a thermostatically controlled hot air system that provides 2 benefits. 1- The hot air helps vaporize the fuel. 2- thermostatically controlled intake air temp removes one of the major variables for carburetor tuning. With the intake air at a constant air temp the carburetor can be tuned much more finely.

The 1200 and B210 air cleaners are pretty much the same. The B310 air cleaners added a flexible plastic cold air pipe that pulled in air from outside the engine compartment. The cold air source allowed the thermostatic control system to work at higher outside ambient temperatures.

If things work out as I think they will, Maggie and I can bring out both 2dr. sedans to help get the 1200 count up.

Hi all, I'm looking for a pair of factory shoulder harnesses that clip into the factory lap belts. The factory lap belts are present but someone removed the shoulder harnesses before I purchased the car.

Also looking for an A12 2 bolt exhaust flange (clamp that holds the exhaust pipe into the exhaust manifold) and the first foot or so of the down pipe.

Thanks,

Gary

Sorry to hear about the accident. Hope you have a speedy recovery.

I was wondering what you were up to last weekend when I was driving around near your shop...

Check to see that the caliper is not hitting the body work at full lock. If the caliper hits it might be pushing in the piston the pulls the outer pad inward. This would then require the piston be pumped back out before the brakes would work.

If all goes as planned, I'll be driving home a second 1200 2 door sedan tomorrow... Earl's yellow 2 door sedan. I've been wanting to get a second 1200 to be a nice street car.

The autocross car is getting less practical all the time. It's still a good street car, just very firm riding... After the 1608 engine with weber 40's gets finished and installed, the practicality will go down another notch (while the fun goes up a big notch). Having a dedicated mile street car frees up the 1200 that is setup for autocross to get crazier.

The fates were sealed when the first thing Maggie saw at Canby this year was that Earl's yellow 2 door sedan was for sale. It didn't take much encouragement to make the decision to add to our datto stable.

Was Canby 2007 a premonition with the 2 cars parked side by side?

Suppose that sounds like a Harley Davidson?

I suspect that it would sound more like an old John Deere tractor. They produced lots of tractors that had odd fire 2 cylinder engines.
