Hey guys ive been lurking around the site for years and more recently joined up whilst i was looking for a ute to once again be the proud owner of.. (owned a 1200 ute for my first car many years ago)

anyways i finaly found my new toy.. shes got a stock a15 in her at the moment and i thought i start the thread from here and post the process for myself and anyone else to have a sticky beak at.

Hey Guys,
im fairly new to the forum and coming back to Datto's(cars in general) after many years of responsibilities etc getting in the way :) . Im looking for a project car and ive come across something that im pretty keen on but just had some reservations when i saw parts of the engine bay.. Perhaps i can throw up a couple of pics and if anyone here has any thoughts or opinions that could help me and perhaps give me abit of confidence to go ahead i would appreciate it. my concern is the welds / joins on these strut towers and the possible cancer in the corners .. does this stuff look fairly standard to you guys or you see a problem (note: left hand tower as you look at the engine bay picture)..

Hey man ive tried calling you afew times and cant seem to get through, ill try again now and ill pm you my ph# , I live at rouse hill and want to arrange a time to come and have a look, im thinking weekend now as im pretty busy during the week. can anyone confirm that the standard maddat conversion parts would still suit this lwb version? ie ca18 crossmember, suspension parts trans tunnel etc?

hey bud im going to give you a call tomorrow to see if i can come and have a look at her.. i was hoping to find something alittle more progressed but this looks like a good platform to start from, its pretty much how i sold my last one 18 years ago and its time for me to get another and finish the little beast i always wanted :)
