1979 Ute
Stock A12
Stock 4spd

The vibration is #OOPS#ing ridiculous on start up/ idle. I know alot of cars have this problems but this one is pretty severe. It smooths out perfectly as soon as i hit the throttle.

Suggestions or quick fixes?

This was my dilemma last night and i'm happy to say I made the right choice

Made this grill out of an old security door that I bought for $20. It's a #OOPS# fit but good to see what it would turn out like. Kind of reminds me of the classic charger grill.

Next mods on the list

-Wheels
-Respray
-Drop it on its ass.

Another quick thing, anyone have after market bucket seats lying around? Located VIC

Okay so long story short, my old man went to put the battery back in the car after it finished charging, puts the +/- on the wrong ends and bam... Cars not having any of it. Just wondering which fuse I needed to replace, tried to look on the Wiki but had no luck.

Cheers

Up for sale is my Datsun 1200 Ute. $2500 is the price.
Location is SE Melbourne
Car is 95% complete and majority of paint stripped. Uni is taking up most of my time and unfortunately I can't finish the build. It wouldn't take much to put this car back on the road, a few rust spots here and there most aren't bigger than a 10c coin.
In the bay is the stock standard A12 engine in great running condition.

Email me if you're interested camjzamora@gmail.com

Perforated Steel Grill, or if you want to go budget build and get an old security door.

Anybody tried this on their datto?

Hey guys, bought my 1200 a few weeks ago and spent every night on it since. Just wondering what do you guys think is the essential mods to get these toys sideways.

I had a local datsun guru have a look at my ute the other day, and his advice to get the back lower was this:
1-Remove the bottom leaf spring
2-Flip it upsidedown
3-Put it on top.

Is this a safe and successful way to lower the car? or will consequences come bite me in a few years time.

Last question is this, is the standard A12 engine capable of take it sideways I know drifting is about the driver but ofcourse the car does have some input also.

Budget drift build so shoot your ideas I'd love to hear them and implement them!
