flow characteristics and cfm means sh1t when a head is under pressure - only those chasing extreme power will worry about it.

Hmmm.... flow characteristics and cfm mean everything when moddin/Tuning any engine.

I got some struts of a datsun laurel recently and want to put them on my 1200. wat bottom ball joint and rod end will have to use so it works with the new struts steering arms??

ps..they look very much like Z struts.

The idea is to use the longer bottom arm with modifications for the new bolt on ball joint etc... how long would the bottom arm have to be a achieve around 4-6degrees of negative camber??? front tyres are 7" wide.

1. I want the shortest L series block possible for lighter weight and easy fitment under 1k bonnet. with good bore stroke and rod angle ratios.

Why not use L20b rods in your L16 that would give u a rods ratio of 1.980 which is excellent for high revving. If those rods are used u would have to get a 24mmCompression height pistons made by Ross or wiseco(sp)

To get the engine lower why not modify the sump to get alittle more clearance along with the X member??? Cut the Xmember flat and plate it with 3mm mild steel
