Great site, Best ever for Datos. I want to fit an elec fan on my 1200 ute running an A15. & I hate those ugly adjustable thermo fan switch units that go into the Rad hose. What do I have to do to wire the fan to a sender switch? Will I need to get a seperate switch? And if so What ,Where, Temp rating? I am getting the Rad recored, should I have the Rad people fit a ferule to the bottom tank for the switch? Or will the switch work just as well in the motor ? Where in the motor? Thanks in advance for any help.

No Buff you're not negative , maybe a little sceptical but spot on the mark as far as Ins Co go. Always remember that they are in the MONEY business not the car or whatever business.

In my Ute it is between the steering column & the fuse box up & under behind the dash. It is generally silver in colour and about the size of the little plastic containers that a roll of camera film comes in. Standard model is about $10 or less & HD model is about $26 ( for towing). Repco, Bursons & most speed/car accessory shops.

I think the smartest, cheapest , and best long term remedy would be to import a new shell from SA , Unpicking and rewelding is a MAMMOTH job leaving an unoriginal finish with a high probability of creating more rust alot sooner than the new shell solution
