It took me 5 different engineers looking at my ute before i got it mod plated. There is no problems with fitting a CA18DET into a 1200 ute. When i got mine done he just said that as long as the conversion looks like it has been done properly then it is passible. My engineer would not even do a road worthy on my ute after he finished the mod plate because of my lack of interior. He still did the mod plate though! Don't listen to your mechanic, just go to the next one and try again or tell them that it is legal and that they have to pass it.

I am looking at a turbo injectors and computer all at once. I am trying not to spend over $3000. I have been talking to Team Drift King Motorsports about it and they will have a fairly new GT28 for sale soon and some skyline injectors. I have also been talking to Tim with the Mazfix Cortina and they have a really good T04 for sale(the same as Tim uses to get 8 sec passes untubbed) I will be calling Mazfix next week about it to see what they can do will try for a sponsorship or something

I am chasing an after market computer for a CA18DET. Also some 550cc injectors. Is there someone that would be recommended to talk to.
