Depending on what gear box you've got or are getting. If its the 4 speed then you have to know there's 2 types. one come out on the A14-15 and the other came out on the A12.The 1400 and
1500 boxes were bigger than the 1200's. i've got one sitting in my shed at the moment.the ute driveline were stronger coz they were designed to take the "heavy" half tonne loads. The I've
only ever blown a gearbox up which was the stock unit that came with the car and the stock A12. Now i've got a worked A15 in it with a rare factory injection manifold, fully worked head,
68/75 race cam, high comp. pistons, 5 speed sunny box.i havent done a diff yet (touch wood), and i've upgraded brakes.

Where i am, i've actually got a guy who specialises in 1200's and A-series motors. i've got an A-series injection manifold with commodore computers and an Autronic computer, i've got ACL
dome top pistons to up the compression, the crank and rods are the stock units coz they are pretty strong, i've got my 1500 head which has been fully ported and polished and shaved to up
the compression again, the manifolds have been match ported, its got a set of Nismo stainless valves and seats, double vale springs, electronic ignition, cold air induction, hurricane
headers with a 2 1/4 inch exhaust. i havent had it on a chassis dyno yet to see what the power at wheels is

To be honest i really dont know.
I know of a 1200 coupe that has a 1400 in it with twin webers. i dont know what work was done to the motor but it does low 14's.
i dont know what mine would do coz i havent taken it to the strip yet because of a few bad reasons in sydney and fast cars.By right because mine is lighter than a coupe it should do
a mid to high 13 naturally aspirated

In OZ the A15 heads are the best out of all the A-series heads. They've got bigger ports and valves than
the GX heads

The A15 heads are better than the GX head. because the A15 is a torqier motor it needs to breathe better so it had bigger valves
than the GX head.
i got my A15 head worked and i'm pulling a bit over 200hp at the flywheel with an Aseries injection manifold that i managed to find

If you get the stanza struts with the Girlock brakes on them you can go commodore calipers and put 200B discs on which are bigger
than stanza ones

Your ute diff is very strong. its a good ratio for rallying :o) 4.11:1 120Y is a smaller housing and a longer ratio 3.9:1 a Bluebird diff is stronger again but come in 3.9 or
3.7:1 you'll have no chance in finding an LSD that will fit, believe me i've searched high and low and still havent found one
