G'day Avizhome,

I got mine done by "Diffs by Terry" I cant find his number but just search him on face book.

He is located in Lansvale.

I cut all the brackets off my diff, pulled out the center and took all the brakes off. Took me a few hours with a grinder but saved me a bit of coin.

I gave him the standard diff from my coupe and just asked for it to be the same dimensions. Fits in sweet! Although I need to make some new shock mounts as the coupe ones are too narrow.

The flange on the R31 diff is different that the standard 1200 shaft not sure if it will fit. I'm running an SR20DE with a stumpy 5 speed so I need to do some searching for what shaft will fit. My Auto 1200 shaft fits in the 5 speed but the unis are small AF. So I will try find something beefier to fit.

hope this helps.

Just got my R31 diff back about a month ago. Was under $1000 to get done.

I got a lot of quotes from places in Sydney, any where from $800 to $1500.

Where you are located though.

I fitted longer studs to my coupe because my 3 piece wheels were hitting the caliper and needed to run an 8mm spacer. Not sure if its legal but YOLO.

G'day everyone.

I should be picking up my shortened R31 Diff next weekend that I am super stoked about.

Just wondering when it comes to the U bolts and lower spring plates.

The R31 Tubes are a lot bigger than the standard diff so I presume I will need new u bolts to suit.

Do you need to modify the lower brackets at all, dill bigger holes etc?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Will post pics when I pick the bad boy up.
