Yes still have the factory loom.

As much as I would love to, I am refraining from splurging and buying an aftermarket ecu as I know how cheap factory ones can be.

Will check the loom plug next time I am in the workshop.

Thanks for all the help.

I currently don't have an ECU for the vehicle. I need ECU and AFM to get it running. I might see if there are any part numbers on the wiring loom and see what engine i have. I would Assume it would be a manual however in the wonderful world of automotive it could be anything.

Sorry for the confusion. I actually need the pin out for the whole ecu. Mainly where the powers and earths to the ECU go. I put VCT in the subject as there might be a difference between VCT and non VCT. Thanks for the help tho!

Good afternoon Gentlemen,

I recently bought a S14 SR20DE for my 1200 coupe and I am having a lot of drama finding a wiring diagram for the engine loom. I can find plenty of turbo diagrams and KA diagrams but no luck with ones for DE.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Dealership I used to work for does Nissan parts.

Apparently there is one in Adelaide or ex-Japan.

Will update how I go.

G'day Datsun 1200 Community.

I pulled apart my steering box today as I wanted to give it a spruce up. Just wondering where have you guys bought new seals and gaskets for the steering box from. I'm going to give my local Burson's a call. Can you still buy genuine ones?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Cheers for the heads up. These were about $160 all up so thought that was quite reasonable. Didn't think of mx5 seats. might be a good option. My coupe didn't come with front seats so I am looking for an alternative that would still be ADR approved. Even though I will still need it to be engineered.

Hi Everyone,

Just a question I have found a pair of R32 GTSt seat going cheap and I am wondering if anyone has fitted these to a 1200 before?

I know I will have to make brackets and such but how do they go space wise?

Cheers for the help.

Most Modern cars use variable length runners in their intake manifolds.

Long runners promote more turbulence of the air going in giving more torque at low RPM.
Short Runners get the air in quicker and easier at high RPM as there is less restriction.

May have something to do with it.
Just my 2 cents.
