Thanks for the info dattodude! I don`t know why I didn`t call Nissan first?
They had the plastic wiper covers ex- Melbourne & only cost me $9 for both.
I do have another question though.
Does anyone know if any 1200 model came with intermittent wiper controls?
I`ve been to the Nissan SA website, found the wiper control switch in the parts diagram, only to find no identifying number or part#.I don`t know for sure if the new BAKKIE would have an intermittent wiper control, does anyone know?
I thought of asking an auto-leky,but I don`t like the idea of drilling holes & some weird intermittent control set-up on the dash!
Does anyone have `em in their Datto?
I`m just sick & tired of those switch ON switch OFF drizzly rain days l
Any thoughts?

Just in case anyone is interested, there`s a mob in sydney called "Wetherill Park Panels".
They sell new black-framed ute tail lights from taiwan. I bought a pair & they look great. Only cost me $40 each!
But make sure and ask for a look through a few boxes,as I found there to be a few with scratched lenses!
Also the plug connector is different,so just cut it off & wire up your old one.Only took me an hour all up,including fitting.

Hope this helps

Does anyone know where I could find new wiper arm thingys?
They are the small plastic clip ons which cover the wiper-arm fastening nuts.
Any help would be much appreciated,as mine look like busted bits of crap!

Hey kegs ! Go to http://rta.nsw.gov.au/registration/ve ... ds/informationsheets.html
Click on'' Vehicle standards information sheets" (which is underlined & highlighted in
blue).
Scroll down & click onto " VSI 06 Guidelines for Light Vehicle Modifications".

Are you sure it`s the steering box ?
Have you checked your drag-link yet?
It could have all the play in that?
Worth a look !

Don`t be afraid to call absolutely every insurance company you can think of.
If you shop around,it could save you hundreds!
I`ve had some luck with Allianz & even NRMA;but I`m not under 25
Insurance companies are giants out of control, and whether we like it or not, they have us all over a barrell.

GOOD LUCK !

At last ! someone with some correct information.
I was beginning to believe that my diff guy spun me some B/S; and after reading some of the replies posted here, promptly rang him for some convincing evidence!
He assurred me that all was above-board & not to believe everything I read.
He`s running a little behind in his work and it should`nt be to long before diff`s in.

Thankyou Naukkis

Wish nissan put an R200 in my ute from the factory! Ghuess i`m stucck with a girls diff.

When i worked at "bakers precision engines", Kim Baker built an FJ20 that had a knife-edged & nitrided crank, carrilo rods, APEP forged pistons, titanium valves & retainers;and a huge garrett turbo! It made 620hp@9200rpm on the engine dyno.
THAT`S over-engineering friend!
