Yes Mawler....a 4 door Aussie 120Y would be realy cool. That is what I plan on doing, put a complete Aussie 120Y in a container and ship it.
The 4 door and 2 door US spec rear area looks terrible compared to the aussie spec one. Yours look cool with the 120Y emblem instead of a license plate. And the US area is flat ( between the tail lights ) while the aussie area is concave...i know what you mean.

Coburg, yes, I think that is Victoria, that must had been the last place that saw that 180B alive. That 180B will remain alive in my 610.....another example that Datsuns never die, like us human beings, a Datsun is not destroyed, only transformed!

Let me know of any 180B fenders....

I remember once a member here ( can not remember the name ) had the bumpers and the grille for me ( my B210) ...and US Fedex wanted 500.00 bucks for the shipping.....not even including the plastic grille ..... Fedex....bunch a dorks! LOL I am going to start advertising for Australian Post !!!! way to go!!!!

Check all the elements posible. If you have a cleaned radiator, professionally cleaned, perhaps you commited the same mistake I comitted in my jeep years ago. I took the radiator off the car, and got it pro cleaned. Re installed it. The clylinder head and the engine water passages were full of rusted particles and that re clogged the already cleaned radiator.
Take the radiator off again, and run water through the engine water passages w/o the radiator in place, all the water flowing through and out. That will rid your engine of gunk and crap so that the radiator , which will have to be cleaned up again professionally, does not get re clogged.

Or take it to the shop and have them take the radiator and ask them to pressure clean the block, radiator out or bypassed.
Then after the block and the radiator are cleaned, use new hoses too, because old hoses have pieces falling off and also colect rusted metal that later on cloggs up the system.
I learnt a trick with thermostats. It pays to drill a hole in the upper part of it, a small hole. That is insurance against a sticking unit. If that happens, you will run warm, but not boiling hot.
If you can, safe yourself trouble and get peace of mind, get the block cleaned, re clean thge radiator ( if you take your car for the block pressure flush, I bet the shop will re clean your rad free of charge.
Get a new water pump, and thermostat.
An overheating engine can end up in valve warping and more headaches.

Congratulations on the great work D Gonz.....that wikipedis looks awesome!

I had an adaptor in my former RHD postal Jeep that was made for the 32/36 into the one barrel manifold ( that 6 cyl manifold had a one barrel carter carburetor...horribly undercarbureted).
The adaptor looked like a funnel. I still have that adaptor in my storage place. Any adaptor can be made.
You can make an adpator following the instructions in the link provided. You need a block of aluminum, big enough to seat the DCNF.It has to be grounded to match the opening of the stock manifold. Look at a 32/36 adaptor so you can get the idea. Then you drill the adaptor to manifold holes, and the adaptor to DCNF holes.
I sent a letter to Weber to find out if there is any adaptors. In this part of the world the DCNF is not marketed, but in Europe, with all the Fiats, Alfa Romeo, Seats,Simcas, Renaults, etc....there is extensive use of those, including Ferraris ( the V12 Ferraris use 6 DCNF carburetors.)
Do not despair. It is not a difficult thing. Do you have a adaptor you can look at, a more common 32/36? Follow that design, that is what has to be done.
Now, if you have access to a aluminum welder in Thailand, then I would cut the center portion of the stock manifold and make a direct bigger seat for the carburetor. Better flow. I think we have a picture of a manifold like that...by Leosnake2000 ( his name here.) real name is Rick.
Let me see if I can find the pix.

after a few minutes....
Got it...I was diving into the 1200 archives.....I had to fight the custodian of the records...he spoke portuguese to me and I spoke english.....I said I can speak spanish too, he said NIET!... we got in a fight....fists flew...I got my sling shot and as I was trying to get the rock in place....he pulled my slingshot off my hands...and.....LOL ..........

....... just kidding.....no need for violence...records were available....

I just received my 180B grille from Australia. It came from Coburg, Australia.
I am flabbergasted......cool!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am expecting my SSS dash board anytime . Back when I had my B210, I never did materialize my dream of having the bumpers and grille from Aussie lands because I was trying to arrange for the shipping from here...God forbid....US companies are a rip off. 500 dollars for the 120Y bumpers....about 626 Aussie dollars....

I did not know that arranging the shipping from Australia via Australian post was the way!
Well, my 180B will rip the benefits....If anyone knows about fenders for my 180B ( the early model ones, no signal lights at the front most corner of the fender) let me know.
The grille I got is cool, my 610 will stand out with this grille, and the dashboard......I am game now.....a 610 with this dash board.....WWwOOOoooooooooOO!!!

Yes. I understand Dodge's concerns, but I would give it a try. A 36 DCNF might be what the doctor ordered, like a 38 DGAS to an L series.

Pictures.......

These carburetors are very versatile, with jets and emulsion tubes to exchange, I think you should be able to do it. Since your engine will be modified, you should be able to use the extra load.
I will try to find out into it.

Hi Osbil. Saw your pixes. Very nice. I like the emblem on the trunk lid, looks nice. Thailand is a RHD nation as I can see. I knew Indonesia is RHD, but I was not sure about Thailand.
If you ever have a chance, I would like to look at the brake booster linkage, very interesting. Many guys with 120ys and 1200 that are LHD have problems when trying to fit twin Weber DCOE carburetor set ups.

Very nice car, what are your plans??

Hi.
You need to post pictures of your existing manifold, the bottom section of your DCNF and dimensions of your carburetor at the base. There is no way to guess w/o seing the items.
Please post a picture(s)

I learnt my lesson. What happened is that after the neighbors told me the details of the accident... ( she was backing out of her driveway and hit my car with her rear)... I went to her house and confronted the husband. He said not to worry and gave me her insurance information. I did not deem necesary to involve the police in the issue since the woman's husband gave me the info needed. In reality the insurance Co is the one that wanted to rip me off.
In the event the woman would had denied the accident, or if I were not to find her husband at home when I knocked on the door, I then would had called the cops.
Insurance companies are not in the business of helping and serving their customers. Their business is to collect monthly premiums from insured customers and make revenue. When an accident happens, these insurance companies are not looking to protect and help their customer or the other party if their customer is at fault , but they aggresively look for an excuse not to pay, or to pay the least.
And off course goverments do nothing, because these big insurance comapnies pay millions in taxes to the states.....it is all rotten.

I hope that Datto 510 gets rebuilt.
