Interested in the stanza calipers if they're girlocks - need one or a pair.

Checked my diff this weekend. It is a little bit difficult to tell with precision whether it's a 3.7 or not, because one of the brakes is a bit seized up and the wheel won't turn.

Counting rotations for one wheel only and the input shaft I'd say it's a 3.89

I know for sure that it came out of an A14 engined Sunny Wagon, because I pulled the car apart. Maybe it's not the original diff, maybe not all the cars had a 3.7 Who knows??

"Wider" ratios are
1st:3.757 2nd:2.374 3rd:1.659 4th:1.291 5th:1.000 Rev:4.040
All the info you need to know is in the wiki
1st gear is same as standard and 5th gear is direct, same as 4 speed, but there's 3 gears in between instead of 2. Spacing of the ratios is perfect for a road car.

I have a 5 speed 56A box with the "wider" ratios for sale. I paid good money for it and I'm not giving it away but if there's someone out there who really wants one and appreciates what they're worth and how hard they are to come by - contact me.

It's in good nick, drives well but it's not in a car so you can't test drive it.

It looks just like a gearbox - only reasonably clean.

pm'd.

Not sure I get what you're talking about, but if you are grafting a (stanza) 63A box onto an A series motor it would be PERFECT. Re-use your pressure plate with this clutch plate.

SOLD to Lagwagon - good luck hope you can adapt the gearbox

It has a bigger spline than the 56 and 60 series gearboxes. I expect the spline (1" x 24 spline) is correct for a stanza box, but the diameter of the clutch plate at 180mm is the same as other A series clutch plates and therefore smaller than an L series clutch - that is assuming that a stanza has the same pressure plate as other L series motors, which I believe are 225mm diameter.

Weekend 1000, I do have a complete rear axle out of a sunny wagon. It had an A14 according to the VIN plate, that much I can remember. The VIN plate is now long gone, so I can't check for the HB37 code. I do know how to check a diff ratio, butthe axle still has wheels attached and it's buried under a pile of crap, so I'm not that keen to go pulling it out until I know if somebody wants to buy it and have it sent across Australia. Whaddya reckon.
