Round headlight Sunny coupe. Unfinished project. Fully rebuilt A15 engine
GasResearch straight lpg setup. All certified and legal in this car. Certification stll valid.
Engine rebuilt with 10.5:1 comp to suit lpg
Camshaft reground to suit lpg/high comp. by Wade cams
Extractors and 2.25" exhaust
Engine has only been started and run for long enough to get it roughly tuned. Not even run in yet
4 speed - clutch is good
Pedders shocks all round
Body is basically straight, but the cancer has got a grip in the usual places - door bottoms, bottom of front guards, bottom rear of rear quarters sills aren't rusty but they are bent.
Car has Air Con - don't know if it works but it's certainly all there
You might be able to convince me to chuck in a set of 14" Mitsi Scorpion mags that fit and look pretty good - two good tyres/two unroadworthy
A fair bit of money has gone into this, but it's time to cut my losses and concentrate on my neglected 1000 coupe
If you don't want to fix up a Sunny coupe the engine and gas setup would make any datto fast, economical and reliable and would qualify for a Commonwealth government $2000 rebate.
which is available for any private car converted to LPG. Not necessary to spend $2000 to get $2000 back and It would probably cost $600 - $800 for a tank and certification of the LPG setup if you can fit it yourself.
Have a look, ask questions, make me an offer. Car is in Warrandyte - Melbourne

I see fewer and fewer ads for 5 speed boxes - they seem to have "dried up" in Australia over the last year or so. Occasionally when they are offered for sale there is comment that the price asked is high. Have a look at this
if you think they're expensive here!

Does anyone out there have one for sale? Or sold one recently? I'm not looking to buy, but curious to know if they're available at all.

I made up a cable with second hand parts from a motor cycle wreckers. Lots of bikes split a single cable (usually throttle, but sometimes choke as well) into a double cable. They terminate the single cable in a little plastic tube about 5cm long which has a little "slug" that slides up and down in the tube on the end of the cable. Then on the far end of the tube there is a cap which allows two cables to enter and the inners attach to the slug. Voila! a single cable double-acting at the other end.
I'll try to take a picture and post it.
The bits cost me about A$15 at a wrecker and I got the three cables as well (one in - two out)

Anyone had any good/helpful experiences shipping from New Zealand to Australia? I want to have a gearbox sent to Aus and don't want to get involved in ridiculous expense with freighting customs clearance etc. which might end up making the exercise too expensive. Post is the fisrt place I looked but the weight limit is 20 kg which is probably 4 - 5 kg less than a (packed) gearbox. Any ideas or suggestion would be most gratefully received. Tony
