BUGGER ME, its a Datsun 1000, they dont make any more reliable cars, if your too scared or incapable to take a Datsun on a long drive you should be getting your mummy to drive you everywhere.

luckily this is a moderated forum otherwise I could make referance to your mummy and how I have to drive her on a regular basis...... after all I dont see how this whole thread has anything to do with you unless you are the seller under a pseudonym or an interested buyer in which case, buy it now and beat me to it

It's a good idea, however I dont want to try driving a car I have no real idea of how reliable it is across some pretty desolate countryside. Thats why I suggested that the owner, who should trust the reliabilty of the car drives it....
I dont mean it to sound nasty its just I dont wanna be stuck out in the middle of nowhere with no way of getting myself let alone the car to civilisation should it break down.

thanks phunkdoktaspok you are absolutely right (although to be honest I didnt realise it was the exact wagz that Matt owned) and yeah Matt and I talked a fair bit about it and I looked into transporting options and there is no way that I found that both buyer and seller can be guaranteed there money is safe, someone has to trust the other person to pay or send the vehicle, the only exception being VIP transport and they charge about $1000 from memory and have a secure system where they hold the money while the car is transported. as opposed to the #300-$400 of just transporting through other companies. And I dont wanna pay $1000 in transport costs especially on a $1700 car.
