I used a different method for connecting the clutch master cylinder.
Using a stanza master cylinder
I put a hole in the firewall in line with the existing pedal and drilled a whole in the pedal to incorporate the push rod from the master cylinder.

the sandwich plate and the bellhousing match up with no worries.
I'll check the gap between the bearing and the gears,
cheers

Gday guys,
continuing on with this thread, I have swapped over the bellhousing on my r30 box with the ca20 bellhousing. Just having trouble getting enough clearance on the mainbearing to get the split ring back on.
Any tips?
cheers
Bruce
(I didn't need to change the main bearing as it was the correct size)

gday Psylent,
I have a l20b in my 1200 coupe.
as stated, the std crossmember needs to modified, there isn't a bolt in replacement. Using a stanza sump, and stanza 5spd (uses the original hole and fits tightly in the std tunnel.
The only other thing that took a while to find was the radiator which ended up being an early 80s prelude unit (low and long and outlet and inlet on the correct side)
The motor is a really good fit.
I might be selling my whole combo if your interested as I am in the process of putting in a ca18.
cheers

hey Ange,
which of the engineers did you use, and would you recommend them.
I'm about to start putting a ca18 into my coupe and want to see if its worth getting engineered?
Any pitfalls along the way that you can point out?
cheers
Bruce

The guy at Peddars in Hawthorn (Vic)swears by the Panhard Rods. Everytime I go into see him he asks me If I have put one on my coupe yet, and draws diagrams about how they work.
He used to work on a few and says that it transforms the handling of them when setup correctly. He is a really good friendly resource if you are after some advice (and free so far)

Sounds like a pretty good combination,
what is the minimum size wheel you can run with those disks?
Any chance of posting some photos?
cheers

If you could post something that would be great.
I did a search on r30 skyline, stumpy skyline etc, but didn't come up with anything.
What are you guys searching on?
cheers
Bruce
