the 200B struts(depending on model, imported only I think) are the same as 240K and both have the sumitomo twin spot calipers. As someone posted earlier, the standard spring perch is too wide and needs to be changed.(otherwise contact with the strut tower could occur).

I'm running the 240K struts currently, but they are a bit wide for the strut tower if I want to adjust the camber, and the 240K calipers fit fine to these.
I have tried in the past to bolt the same calipers upto stanza stuts but the calipers, foul on the steering.
Frustrating as it seems like a good combo.

Can anyone tell me, when fitting stanza struts with twin spot sumitomo calipers to a 1200, do I need to fit any of the other steering components off the stanza to make them fit, or swap the struts left to right?
Thanks
Bruce

we were able to start it and it seemed to run alright with the existing points coil.
Spark was quite good as well.
Would you generally be able to start it and would it run using the standard points coil?
thanks

We have an L18 in a 1200 coupe. Have just put a series 2 bluebird electronic dizzy on it. I have been told that I need to swap over the coil to the same that is on the series 2 bluebird. Can anyone tell me why I need to do this?
Thanks

Had the 1200 coupe with L18 tuned today.
The shop that did it said that the mechanical advance was playing up on the distributor. At idle, it is reving up past 3000 rpm and staying there then coming down to a normal idle speed. The mechanic said this is in part due to the mechanical advance on the distributor sticking. Can anyone collaborate with this story? I'm going to try and fit another distributor in the next couple of days to see if it fixes the problem.
thanks
Bruce

I have put an L18 in a 1200 coupe running Jag SU's.
Took it out to calder park yesterday for its first run.
It was suffering from fuel starvation.
When you held the revs above 5K you could see the fuel in the filter slowly dropping until there wasn't any left.
I changed the filter but this did not help.
Has anybody experienced this problem and if so, do they know of any remedy?

Allan, The master cylinder is off a Stanza. I have put a hole through the firewall with a hole saw and bolted it up. Its very close to the brake master cylinder, so If I ever need to fit a brake booster I am not sure what I am going to do. I need to straighten the clutch pedal at the top so that it pivots correctly other wise that is it.
how have you done it Allan?
I'd be very interested in how you have done you sr20 conversion as well. (might have to be a seperate thread)
cheers
Bruce
