This gives me even more reason to stick with original parts where possible. I had the original lifters reconditioned versus buying new aftermarket lifters for my A15 rebuild.
LOL. Thanks for the free bump. Got to go with what DD says for the US market. Limited market here I suppose. Might try posting on Ratsun forum. 60 series 5-speed worth much more here especially with significant MG market. What is shipping cost to your part of the world?
Thanks for the responses guys. I was looking at some older threads on this topic and recognize a higher demand in Australia thus driving up the cost. Likely cost prohibitive to ship overseas. If someone is turbo charging an A series in the US or just looking for stronger gearbox send me a PM. And I do have one of the 60 series as well which I am hanging onto.
Haven't seen one of these listed in a while and would like to know what this gearbox is worth. Sitting in my garage and will possibly sell it. Came out of a 210 car and was mated to an A14 motor. Spins freely and no visual signs of damage. I am located in Texas if anyone is interested.
Have a couple of 4 speed transmissions available. 60A came out of a 1981 210 sedan and the 56L came from a 72 1200. Both turn freely and are cleaned up. Located in North Texas. No idea on shipping costs. Radiator is in good shape. Make me an offer.
Well I have another A15 block sitting on the bench that is partially disassembled. I may end up taking off the timing gears and chain and slide out the cam to see what the front bearing looks like. Unless someone else has a block they are working on and can take a picture and post. Do you see oil starvation issues with partially obstructed oil passageways?
