These carbs and intake appear to be the same. Has H-95 stamp on the bottom of both. One was pulled from A15 H95 head. The other from A15 H89 head which came off of a JDM motor that made it to the US. I was expecting different carburation and intake.

Appreciate that DD. Want to be fair on price plus opening it up and showing the condition of the gears should be worth something to a buyer. I know these fetch way more $$ in Australia but shipping like you say is a problem. I could ship the gear assembly separate from the bell housing/rear assembly and send 2 packages. Don’t know if that would make it more economical vs the entire gearbox. Once you reach the weight limit the cost jumps way up.

Gearbox was opened to show condition of gears which are excellent. Has been reassembled and ready to ship from 76135, Fort Worth, TX. Shipping cost is extra.

Well I finally got my transmission opened up. Took patience and alot of wd-40 to break things loose. Another great looking Datsun gearbox considering the age. 3rd one I have opened and the 1st 63 series for me. Gears are considerably different than the 60 series. Could use a set of bearings and maybe synchros, but other than that, this will be good to go. No binding or unusual wear.
DD...I did get a hold of a service manual for the 200sx S10 and found this exact transmission. However the 200sx had the L18/20 engine so the only difference is the bell housing and input shaft??
I posted some pics because I couldn't find many of the internals on this site. Unless they are buried on someone's thread. Post to Tech Wiki if they are of benefit.
I think I have a buyer. If it doesn't work out, I will post on classifieds. Might be able to ship overseas if the gear assembly is shipped separate from the housing to keep the weight down. 2 packages instead of 1 big one.

Thanks DD. Was thinking they were interchangeable and he would be able to source other gearboxes for parts. I haven’t come across any 60Ls. Not many of those around.

60L reverse gear is 32245-H9000 GEAR-REVERSE, MAIN SHAFT 60A reverse gear is 32245-H9700 GEAR-REVERSE MAIN SHAFT
What is the difference?

If you were on the other side of the pacific ocean I would give you a good deal on these parts. Engine has stock pistons and transmission is 56L. Still have the 60A 4 speed as well.

Thanks DD. Interesting that there is no oring behind the front cover. I was hoping someone has a rebuild manual similar to the 60a 5speed which I used when I changed bearings and synchros. About a 20 page pdf file and very well written. I couldn’t find something similar for the 63a on this forum. I imagine this gearbox has never been opened up, so after 40+ years it may require a little more force. Will keep spraying and tapping unless someone has a technique to pop it off. Can’t get the right leverage to separate it from the bell housing.

Anyone out there know how to remove a stubborn front cover on the dogleg 63a gearbox? I have used WD 40 along the sides and around the main drive gear. All bolts are off and don't want to put to much force on it. Tried tapping with a screwdriver where the front cover mates with the transmission case thru the release lever opening. Doesn't want to budge. In the process of shipping to a buyer but before doing so, I want to make sure the internals look good. Also if anyone out there has a rebuilt manual in pdf format that would be much appreciated.
