Sorry, but what is an L series engine? Forgot to mension, bu I want to stay true to the Nissan family (only Nissan engines). Also, to fit the RB26 in the 1200 I would have to cut the firewall right? Thanks for the help so far!!

Hello. I'm form Portugal and recently my father gave me a 2 door 1200 in need of a big restoration and the green light to do whatever I want with it. And I want to do an engine swap. But I can't decide between the SR20DET and the RB26 (N/A). I want to do something never seen before, and the SR20DET swap was been done before. But I've never seen and RB26 in a 1200. Why? I do know I will need to do a lot of modifications to the car an reinforcements for it to take the high HP and torque of any of the engines. Anyway, any input on this subject will be highly appreciated! Best regards form Portugal!!
