hey all, This is more of a curiosity rather than a problem. When my little A12 is cold and i have the choke on, it chugs and misfires (no backfirirng) while its idling. But once it has warmed up and the choke is off it runs as smooth as silk......any suggestions to why?? Carby has just had full rebuild. thanx

well the job has been done. Taking off the manifolds was a peice of piss, but trying to remove the valve and adjoining shaft was an abslute c#@t. after much cutting and bashing and bruised hands it is removed, the holes are plugged and all is back together in a matter of roughly 2 hours. Though i will be probably tapping the holes and putting bolts in them if the patch up job i did eventually fails. have fun all

if the rego ran out on the 10th, then if your laws are anything like western aust. then the following will apply rego due - 10/11/03 still rego'd till the 24/11/02 (2 weeks) after that date you have 2 more weeks to pay but you will have no third party injury insurance - 8/12/03 so if this is the case than the car is still registered but i would pay it by the 24th for obvious reasons.

ok, i am finally ripping off the exhaust manifold this weekend and plugging up the stupid hole form the butterfly valve in the exhaust manifold. I am just curious on how long approximatley this will take and is there any hidden tips that anyone can give me. i have done many an escort and gemini manifold change etc and that takes stuff all time, is the datto just as easy, except for that fact that it looks like the inlet has to come off as well to install the new gasket!!! spew.. thanx
