nah i couldnt make it, I had a motor gp party to attend.
plus i will admit that i would feel like a bit of a tool rocking up in a dead stocker sunny, besides the fact that it has general lee style mags and an immaculate interior,
just me i guess.

try "r moore engines" in kewdale, they import, or at least used to import jap cars and jap engines / front cuts..
i hope to one day convert my little sunny into a ca18det street sleeper...
and with the back tyres smoking i will have to change the name from datsun sunny to datsun overcast!

just an educated guess, i would suggst that you are flooding the motor, the 1200 is only used to a pissy little carby and you have bolted on a webber with probably standard jets and expect it to work...me thinks not!!
you will have to get it rejetted to get the best performance....or maybe try leaning it right back on the mixture screw just to get you by

helllo!!
I'm after a good condition gearshift lever boot and cover that fits over the gearshift lever and seals around the center console and top of the gearbox, mine is ripped and there is too much road noise coming in.
thanx

morning all
i have located a set of extractors, just waiting to get paid.
I have found the source of my leak, it seems the exhaust manifold has some sort of weighted butterfly valve. Unfortunately the hole in which this valve arm goes through has flogged out and makes quite a pfft pfft noise.....really quite annoying when cold.
my question....can this be simply plugged up or ripped out??
thanx for any advice
chuck.....sunny, std with dukes of hazard, general lee mags....
