Rev - I think if you re-read Dodge's 1st post you will find he was referring to Screaming and not you.

Screaming - headers and alsorts are readily available for A series Datsun engines although not sure about your part of the world. They are well designed, very strong engines which can be modded to perform extremely well.

I use the genuine Nismo gasket which has a wire ring under the fire ring for extra 'bite'. (Note some have this some don't). It's on my 13:1 C/R A series race engine - no problems. Expensive but they don't blow. I'd suggest they'd be good for turbo too.

A14 blocks can take A15 crank (and rods) to become essentially become an A15 (with block that says A14).

I race a 1200 Coupe but the sedan has better rear suspension set-up to start with - vertical shocks vs the Coupe's which are angled and really need to be turreted (but I haven't yet done mine).

I have the B310 Competition Book (copy). Drums = Standard 310, but Competition shoes as per 110 and also a couple of different options for wheel cylinders.

These Drums look very much like 240Z but as indicated they're different (240Z were 9" diametre I think).

Good thinking - 910 Bluebird must surely be wider? Assuming they ran these in the Bathurst Turbo racecar they should also be strong?

That's surprising. The B310 is about 3" wider than a B110 so I'd have thought the diff would be at least a bit wider.

In any case, although I don't know the width, how about AE86 Corrolla (which I think also have discs) plenty of diff ratios, LSD options etc. Another thought is '70s/early '80s Mitsi Lancer or Gallant.

On my 1200 Coupe racecar I run a Ford Mk 2 Cortina diff (Sacrilege I know!). Plenty of ratios/ LSD options etc. Leaf spring mounts are same spacing but it's wider than Datsun. (Wider still is Escort diff.) Simply redrilled the stud pattern. Either way there's obviously some mods required so this was no biggie.

Sounds pretty extreme blowby - perhaps more than just rings? Lean out from air leak may have melted piston/s? This gives Extreme blowby!

The ones I've got and have seen in NZ.
Single carb version = centre pipes go under 1 and 4.
Twin Sidedraft carbs = centre pipes go over 1 and 4.
