I just found an engineering shop that did this sort of thing.

They re-set mine flat/straight with no load and also added another long leaf to increase the rate (just slightly shorter than the main leaf with care that it can't foul the eyes at any time).

Has worked well in my coupe racer since the mid 90s.

the oil switch is rather new, only a few months.

Why did you replace the last oil pressure light switch? Same reason/symptom as now?

If it's not a dodgy new switch, I'm picking muck in the pressure relief valve keeping it from completely closing at low flow/idle (given these are exposed to unfiltered oil).

Wrong country for me unfortunately. How did you keep the fuel pressure ahead of the boost pressure with blow through carb set up?

56A 5 speeds have a different sandwich plate with the oil bung in the bottom (not pointing backwards as per this photo).

I believe this is the original Datsun logo:

(Sorry don't know how to link and probably better example pictures)

Also, are the above timing covers and distributors interchangable?

Early 1200 Timing covers differ from 120Y onwards (at least the ones I've seen). Timing markings for (some?) early 1200s are on the pulley whereas later models are on the cover.

when i went to repco i asked and i think they said that a14/15 is different to a12.. yeh the finger/arm is a different size.. 130 bucks for a brand spanker....

Struggle to see why the A14/A15 and 120Y pump would differ given the cam is in the same position etc. Could understand the earlier 1200 with its different cam layout maybe though.
